Thank you for your interest in Montessori Learning Institute. Our school’s philosophy has for its basic concept respect for the young child, the child’s work, and the child’s dignity.

Our faculty is composed of enthusiastic teachers who are committed to providing a loving, safe and stimulating environment in which each child achieves his or her fullest capabilities.

We nurture in each child love of learning, and guide the child to strive to reach excellence.

We provide a loving, safe, and stimulating environment for each child to achieve his/her full potential. Our enthusiastic and committed teachers are experienced, caring, and respectful of each child's uniqueness.

Our classrooms, for ages 1 through 5th grade, are well equipped with the finest Montessori materials and other high quality learning materials. Our students manipulate educational materials until they understand the underlying concepts. We teach our students using solid instructional techniques including phonics for reading.

Special enrichment activities are included throughout the school year. Our Kindergarten and Elementary students participate once a year in our "Who Wants to be a Scholar" program.

Music, Spanish and Computer are taught by special instructors to Primary and Elementary students. Physical Education is offered to Advanced Primary, Kindergarten, and Elementary students.

Our Elementary Student Council holds an important position within our school and also reaches out to the larger community as responsible and involved members. They raise funds to donate to medical research, visit nursing home residents and bring them gifts of art and song, and organized food/toy drives.

Grace, courtesy, and moral values are part of our daily curriculum. Our students acquire a solid foundation in both academics and moral principles.

Our parents have an active involvement in our students' education. There is a strong communication between the principal, the teachers, and the parents. The Parent Volunteer Organization is open to all MLI parents to support the school at various events and for fellowship.

I have sent all four of my children (ages 2-11) to M.L.I. during the past four years. M.L.I. has everything I look for in a school: friendly classrooms, well-used large shaded playgrounds, dedicated and capable teachers and a curriculum challenging to even my gifted child.

Inside each of my children’s classes, I find an atmosphere of love and respect, an attitude toward schoolwork that does not confuse learning with entertainment, and the beautiful Montessori materials that are particularly well suited to explore abstract ideas, especially mathematics (my daughter’s favorite).

My children have flourished here and when the oldest finished last year, he moved on to public school with ease and success.

Thank you so much for the love and care everyone at M.L.I. has given to Sara the last three years. I would highly recommend the school to anyone.

We have been associated with the Montessori learning experience for five years. Our son, Jarred, has attended Montessori Learning Institute since 1988.

There is no comparison between the Montessori learning experience and more conventional ways of teaching. The overall approach to learning is unsurpassed. The student is allowed to grasp the concept being put forth with the help of visual aids and hands-on experiences.

Fundamentals are practiced until they become automatic reactions.

The staff of teachers and counselors are friendly, competent, and avail themselves for student problems.

I can honestly say that, “the system works.” Our entire way of life would be enhanced if the Montessori system was installed in all schools. It has made a difference in the development of our son and the quality of his education.
